Congratulations to Victoria on the publication of Purity Culture, Bodies, and Beliefs: Stories of Religious Trauma (Penn State University Press, 2026), co-edited with Mari Ramler! 

This powerful collection brings together personal narratives and critical essays exploring the lasting impact of purity culture and high-control religious environments. Houser centers the body as both a site of harm and a source of healing.
